Nothing made me happy. I didn’t know what happiness meant and I didn’t know myself.

My marriage ended in divorce about thirteen years ago. I received custody of the children. My life virtually fell apart. I couldn’t get my life together and became depressed. About eight years ago I started seeing the psychologist.

Before the time I kept thinking there had to be more to life than what I was experiencing at that stage. Nothing made me happy. I didn’t know what happiness meant and I didn’t know myself. All I knew was that God had to have something better in mind for me. That was when I went for help, and the psychologist and I have come a long way since.

I took NAD the first time I was at Alkogen. It is quite a story. I remember it was a Friday, and on the Saturday we went to the market and bought vegetables in bulk. When we got home, I started cleaning and processing the vegetables and by half past nine I was still busy. Half past nine in the evening. And I was enjoying it thoroughly. I literally worked until I collapsed with exhaustion. I can't remember the last time I had that kind of energy or drive to do something.

The next time I took the NAD supplement and then went and got everyone upset by announcing that I was going to visit my sister in Matoeba. Initially they thought I was joking, but the next moment I asked them to help me carry my things to the car. I always had a thousand reasons why I couldn’t drive that far, and all of a sudden I enjoyed it very much. I stayed with them a little over a month. In that period I sorted out everything in my mind. I came to the conclusion that my children were dependant very heavily on me, and that they were manipulating me with their feelings and their problems. I decided to stop that. They had to face their own problems. I would no longer feel responsible for their actions. When I returned, I told my daughter, Lorrette, who was living with me at the time, that it would be better if she got her own place. I’ve been on my own ever since. I now go my own way, I can do as I please and I think it has contributed positively to my own development as a person.

I still take the NAD capsules and I am positive that this is what has been keeping me going.
