Theo Verwey The Founder of NAD Therapy
One of my patients here in town is a managing director, and because of stress he decided to apply for another position. He was unfortunately unsuccessful. This man is a very dynamic person, but he felt that he did not have the support at work that he needed. He ended up doing almost everything himself and burned himself out. He became very depressed and didn’t know how to deal with the problem. As they are patients of mine, his wife made an appointment for him to come and see me.
We started the NAD treatment with the oral NAD and I also prescribed additional medication. This man underwent a dramatic change. He said to me: “I want to write a book or a letter, just to describe what has happened to me and how wonderful it feels”. He is back at work now and can cope fully with circumstances at the office - something before which he could not do.
I treated a number of patients and got very good results. Among them were people suffering from depression, people who not only considered suicide, but actually attempted it. I wouldn’t say their struggle is completely over. They probably need some form of therapy over and above the medication. I’m thinking of psychotherapy for instance. Only in acute cases do I use the NAD IV and have so far obtained excellent results. This is my own objective, clinical view, perhaps somewhat cynical, as I am no psychiatrist and not particularly psychologically oriented, but to me these persons clearly benefited from the treatment.
These patients regained the energy to return to work. The tiredness and listlessness disappeared. They could face a day’s work again. The manager I mentioned earlier, described it in one word: “Fantastic”. The NAD rectify imbalances in the body. Doctors usually prescribe antidepressants or anti stress tablets or painkillers, but the NAD supplement contains no elements to which anyone could become addicted. It is a substance that already occurs in our systems and which corrects energy imbalances. This makes sense to me, from a scientific point of view: the body's equilibrium is restored. That is why the patients regain their interest in life. They are not just given another tablet which becomes a crutch to them and which only replaces one addiction with another.
I realised the tremendous need for it all around me: so many people who are unaware of this form of treatment: elderly people, hyperactive children, so many people who can be helped without causing any harm to their bodies. Not prescribing anything that might have a harmful effect on the patient is important to me. We know that hardly any medication does not have a harmful effect, and NAD is one of the rare types that does not have a harmful effect. Theo's NAD supplements contains no harmful ingredients. This is important to me and I think most people prefer things that contribute to their well-being. People have become very health conscious. If they know that a certain medication is not going to harm them, they already show a more positive attitude. I'm thinking of the few people we have given it to up to now, and how dramatically it has changed their lives, and without any harmful effect.
From what I know, coming from a nursing background, a multidisciplinary approach is sine qua non. It is the only approach from which the patient really benefits.
